Who is covered by this Limited Warranty?
This Limited Warranty, which is provided by One-Mech Limited (“One-Mech,” “we” or
“us”), extends to you as the original purchaser of auto repair or maintenance
services (“Vehicle Services”) provided by a Technician that you have requested
and scheduled through the Garage Portal. Capitalized terms not otherwise
defined herein shall have the meanings given them in our Terms of Use.
This Limited Warranty does not
extend to any person who may purchase your car after the Vehicle Services are
performed.
What Limited Warranty Covers:
Subject to the exclusions,
limitations and conditions set forth below, we warrant that the Vehicle
Services will be free from defects in:
materials (i.e., that the parts
replaced in the performance of the Vehicle Services are not defective and
perform as expected under normal usage conditions); and
workmanship (i.e., that the
Vehicle Services were performed correctly).
What the Limited Warranty does not cover:
Any damage to your car caused by
abnormal use (such as use in a commercial venture), misuse, neglect (such as
not performing maintenance services in accordance with the instructions in the
owner’s manual for your car), alteration or tampering, or by external causes
(such as accidents, fire, water and freezing);
Any work for which you have paid
the mechanic directly, rather than making your payment through the
Platform;
Any diagnostic or inspection
service including pre-purchase inspection services provided through the
Autociti Platform;
Any work not scheduled and
processed through the Autociti Platform, including any work performed by a
Technician originally introduced to you through the Autociti Platform to the
extent such work was not scheduled and processed through the Autociti Platform;
Any issues unrelated to the
Vehicle Services ordered by you (e.g., if you order an alternator replacement
because your car was not starting, and the car continues not to start after the
alternator is replaced, this Limited Warranty does not cover the fact that the
car does not start);
Any pre-existing condition with
your car that is not known by the Technician prior to starting the Vehicle
Services and that is discovered during or after the Vehicle Services are
performed (e.g., if you engage the Technician to replace valve cover gaskets,
but during the removal of the valve covers, worn plastic hoses break because
they are old and brittle; repairing and/or replacing the plastic hoses under
that scenario would not be covered by this Limited Warranty);
Any repairs that you request the
Technician perform beyond those included in the Technician’s diagnosis of the
problem, and which the Technician performs, even if those additional repairs
are needed to fix the issue you asked the Technician to diagnose; provided,
however, that if you authorize and pay for additional repairs through Autociti
Platform, such additional repairs would be included in the Vehicle Services and
covered by this Limited Warranty; and
Any consequential effects of the
Vehicle Services performed, unrelated to any of the parts replaced being
defective or any of the repair work being done incorrectly (e.g., if you
request a transmission fluid service, but because you have not been replacing
the transmission fluid regularly, when the Technician replaces the fluid, with
the right fluid installed properly, your transmission stops shifting properly
because it cannot handle the new fluid—this is a “consequential effect” not
covered by this Limited Warranty).
LIMITED WARRANTY INFORMATION
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Parts and Service Warranty
For private-use vehicle, we
protect your investment on services provided and new-parts supplied by us with
a 6 month/10,000 km (whichever comes first) guarantee from the date the service
was provided against product failure due to defect. For commercial-use vehicle,
we protect your investment on services provided and new-parts supplied by us
with a 3 month/5,000 km (whichever comes first) guarantee from the date the
service was provided against product failure due to defect Subject to certain
conditions, if any defects in workmanship arise within this period, we will
work with you to resolve the issue at no additional cost.
At our option, Autociti will
repair, have repaired by a repairer of our choice, replace, or refund the
purchase price of the part in the event of a failure. Note this warranty does
not cover consumable items
All warranties & refunds are null and void if:
•The Terms & Conditions and
return policies are not complied, including those on the front of the invoice.
•The part is used in a vehicle for
racing, off-road recreational purposes, or converted from private passenger use
to commercial or fleet use.
•Failure is caused by abuse,
misuse, or modifications.
•Failure is caused by towing a
trailer or other vehicle unless the vehicle is equipped for this purpose as
recommended by the manufacturer.
•The part fails or becomes
defective due to the vehicle being involved in a collision, fire, theft,
vandalism, riot, terrorism, explosion, lightning, earthquake, windstorm, water,
and flood.
•The installed heat tab is removed
or melted (mechanical parts). The tamper-proof label is removed or broken
(electrical parts).
•The ECM was not flashed or
reprogrammed by manufacturer’s dealer.
•The part is sold “As-Is –
Where-Is” as indicated on the front of the invoice.
•The engine, transmission,
transfer case, carrier or axle assembly fluids are over or underfilled.
•The vehicle is not serviced and
documented at proper intervals or fuel, oil and coolant is not used in
accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
•The engine oil and filter are not
replaced and documented every 5000 km or 3,000 miles with the appropriate
manufacturer’s recommended motor oil and fluid level.
•The transmission fluid and filter
are not replaced and documented at the time of installation with the
appropriate manufacturer’s recommended transmission fluid and level or
transmission is not serviced and documented at the manufacturer’s specified
interval in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
•Failure to provide written
maintenance, installation receipts and other documentation thereof.
•Engines, transmissions, transfer
cases, carriers, axle assy. or any other part and the vehicle they are
installed in are not made available for inspection & testing within 5 days
of filing a claim and prior to removal.
•The “Accessories or Extra Parts”,
non-warranty or non-sale parts cause damage or failure to the parts under
warranty.
•Core is not for same interchange
(fitment) as sold on the invoice, not complete (must contain same parts as
invoiced part), not rebuildable, e.g., the engine block is damaged, the
transmission case is damaged.
•Customer fails to return the
original part and/or the customer does not accept delivery of the replacement
part or refund within 6 business days of an approved warranty claim or refund.
•Part is not shipped or returned
within 6 business days of an approved return.
•Any parts not ordered through the
Autociti Platform are installed by the Technician;
•After receiving the Vehicle
Services, you take your car to a person not scheduled and processed through the
Autociti Platform to diagnose or repair a problem believed to be associated
with such Vehicle Services, without giving Autociti the first opportunity to
inspect and remedy the problem (or to consent to an alternative person or shop
from doing so).
•You will be charged for one hour
of labour fees if a service call is made under this Limited Warranty for an
alleged defect determined not to be the result of a defect in materials or
workmanship of the Vehicle Services. You must pay for any non-warranty service
ordered at the same time as any warranty service.
Terms & Conditions
•The original invoice must
accompany all returns and is non-transferable.
•Warranty is non-transferable and
only valid for the customer named on the invoice.
•Approval for repairs,
disassembly, alterations or replacements must be approved by us prior to any
work being performed.
•We reserve the right to inspect
any product prior to replacement or repair.
•Labor is only included if
expressly stated on the front of the invoice.
•Appropriate maintenance receipts
required.
•The year and model of the vehicle
or part printed on the invoice is within a range of interchangeability
(fitment) and may not necessarily be the exact model and year as the part or
vehicle that has been provided.
•Glass breakage and paint damage
are not covered under this warranty or sale.
•No guarantee on colour match,
returns for the wrong colour will be subject to return policy and terms &
conditions.
•Refer to the manufacturers
“Owner’s Manual” for your vehicle for correct operation and maintenance
schedule.
•Mileage is not guaranteed on any
part.
•We are not responsible for
purchaser errors.
•We are not responsible for
shipping/freight delays. Shipping/freight is a 3rd party service and beyond our
control.
•Customer is fully responsible for
all shipping, freight and delivery costs and are non-refundable. Customer
accepts all return costs.
•Shipping, freight, delivery
costs, similar and/or physical damages are not covered by the warranty or sale
for any reason.
•For purchased items, the customer
has 5 business days after an item to submit a written claim of damage, missing
or incomplete parts. Mail claims to: warranty@autocitimech.com or
visit Autociti, Sugarland Estate, Km 22 Lekki – Epe Expressway, beside Fidelity Bank, Lekki Peninsula II, Lekki, proof of delivery required.
•If customer is not present to
receive the delivery of a purchase, the customer agrees to assume all liability
for item(s) left at the delivery address without a receiver and signature
thereof.
•We are not responsible for
personal injury or damage during, or as a result of, handling or installation
of our product.
•Replacements, repairs or price
adjustments do not extend your warranty.
•Engine Warranty: is limited to
the Long Block which includes defects in the block, heads, pistons,
crankshafts, camshafts, rockers and oil pumps. All other parts that may be
provided are “Accessories or Extra Parts” and are excluded from the sale and
warranty, including but not limited to parts such as switches, sensors, cables,
oil pan, wire harness’, electronics, belts, hoses, filters, gaskets, seals,
water pump and manifolds.
•Engine: Claims related to the
overheating or improper lubrication of the engine or its components are not
covered by this warranty.
•Timing belts/chains, thermostat,
water pump, spark plugs, belts, hoses, fluids, filters, gaskets and seals are
excluded from the warranty and sale and are routine maintenance items and
should be replaced at the time of installation and at the manufacturers
recommended service intervals.
•Proper operation of the cooling
and electrical system must be checked during the installation of products that
can be affected by those systems.
•While most fluids have been
drained from our products, it is your responsibility to completely drain and
replace with fluids, lubricants, antifreeze and filters that are fresh, clean
and approved by the OE manufacturer.
•Any “Recommended Installation
Procedures” provided by us must be followed by the installer to maintain
warranty coverage.
•Other: Tie rod ends, ball joints,
wheel bearings and bushings related to steering and suspension components are
not included in the warranty or sale and should be inspected and replaced by
the installer.
•In the Event of Failure:
•If there is a materials or
workmanship defect within the Warranty Period, we will, at our option and at no
additional cost to you: (i) engage a Technician without charge to you to
perform remedial service work and/or replace defective part(s) installed in
connection with the Vehicle Services; or (ii) refund any amount actually paid
by you to us for the Vehicle Services. (Note that any discounts or promotions
you applied towards payment of the Vehicle Services will not count as amounts
you paid for purposes of any refund under this Limited Warranty.) If a refund
is to be issued due to defective materials, we may require the return of the
defective part or parts at issue prior to processing a refund. We will not be
responsible for any core fee charges incurred by you associated with returning
the defective part or parts to us.
•We neither assume nor authorise
anyone to assume for us any other obligation or liability in connection with
the Vehicle Services.
Notices
Any pre-existing condition with
your car that is not known by the Technician prior to starting the Vehicle
Services and that is discovered during or after the Vehicle Services are
performed (e.g., if you engage the Technician to replace valve cover gaskets,
but during the removal of the valve covers, worn plastic hoses break because
they are old and brittle; repairing and/or replacing the plastic hoses under
that scenario would not be covered by this Limited Warranty);
If you pay the mechanic directly
for any repair services or if the mechanic performs any job that is not
authorized by Autociti, our warranty does not apply. Only repair services
ordered through Autociti platform are covered by our warranty.
If you ordered a repair service
where we did not perform the diagnostic, our warranty only covers the defect in
the replacement. (e.g. if you ordered a battery replacement because your car
was not starting, if the car does not start after replacing the battery, this warranty
does not cover the “car not starting event”.)
If after a mechanic performs a
service, you have reason to believe the services caused other problems, the
warranty will be voided if you hire another mechanic (outside of Autociti) to
inspect or work on your car. If we send a mechanic to inspect the car and the
inspection demonstrates that the problem was indeed caused by the previous
service, then the mechanic will fix the car at no cost to you. If the problem
was caused by other reasons, the mechanic will bill you for the inspection or
any further repair services provided by them.
Tyres: Due to many varied and
different conditions to which used tyres may have previously been exposed, we
make absolutely NO warranty, expressed or implied, as to the fitness for a
general or particular purpose or of merchantability in connection with any sale
of used tyres. ALL USED TYRES ARE SOLD “AS-IS”. Used tyres are not tested or
labelled by us to meet any safety standards. The purchaser of used tyres from
us agrees to accept all risks relating to the use of such used tyres.
Repair Service: Purchaser hereby
authorises the repair work to be done along with the necessary materials and
hereby grant you or your employee’s permission to operate the vehicle on
streets, highways or elsewhere, at my own risk, for the purpose of, but not
limited to, testing or inspection. An express mechanic’s lien is hereby
acknowledged on the vehicle to secure the number of repairs thereto. Warranty
on labour is limited to craftsmanship and 4 months or 7,000 km, whichever comes
first, for private use cars. Meanwhile, for commercial use car, warranty on
labour is limited to craftsmanship and 3 months or 6,000 km, whichever comes
first. Warranty work must be performed in our shop and cannot exceed the
original cost of repair. Customer agrees that Autociti is not responsible for
loss or damage to the vehicle or loss of articles caused by fire, theft,
accidesnt or any other cause.
Return Policy
Purchased part(s) returned
undamaged (may exclude warranty claims) and complete within 30 days of the
original purchase date may be credited at management’s discretion, subject to a
20% restocking fee and less all shipping, freight and delivery Any incomplete
or disassembled part returned, for any reason, including warranty claims, will
not be refunded, the part must be returned in the same condition as when it was
purchased.
Any part being returned that does
not include our special identification marks, has had the tamper-proof label
removed or broken is non-refundable.
Refunds will be issued in the form
of the original payment, except purchases made with cash: a check refund will
be issued. Purchases made with a check: if the payment is less than 14 days old,
a refund will be issued in the form of an in-store credit.
